Mardi is a full-time French teacher to elementary school-aged boys. Out of school, she blogs about her culinary adventures near and far. She has lived and worked as a teacher in Australia, Hong Kong, England, France, and now calls Toronto home with partner Neil and their Burmese cat, Cleo.
As part of her teaching job, she runs Les Petits Chefs–a twice-weekly cooking class 7-11-year-old boys. She’s also a cook, baker, traveller, photographer, Food Network Canada contributor and Food Bloggers of Canada co-founder. In her spare time (!), Mardi teaches French pastry classes.
Her fave foods include cheese, freshly-baked bread, charcuterie, pastries and cakes.
Mardi’s philosophy for Keeping It Fresh: “Experimenting in the kitchen, trying to be more like my students who approach every task in cooking club with confidence and a “can do” attitude.”
